The school is located in the city centre. It is an ideal place for those interested in the culture of Spain and who would like to experience the Latin way of life directly. There are many interesting tourist attractions in the area. Close to the Barcelona school you will find tapas bars, boutiques, record stores and much more. No matter how crowded the streets of Barcelona are, our school has the tranquillity necessary to study. We invite you to an effective course combining learning with leisure.

Upon your arrival to Barcelona, you will be asked to complete a test that will show your current language level, so that you can study with people at the same level only. At the end of the course you will also receive a free certificate.

  SPANISH COURSES IN BARCELONA

We offer courses in Barcelona for all levels. You have freedom to adjust your course to make it most effective possible. Whether part-time, standard, exam, intensive or individual course, choose for yourself which course is best for you, and remember that we are always here to help. Class sizes are up to 10 people (besides individual course) and they come from Germany, Brazil, Russia and Italy, among others.

The structure of the course depends on the individual approach of the teacher and the students themselves. The topics of the classes come from local newspapers and other publications, which are appropriately selected according to the level of students’ advancement. In this way, course participants can discuss the previously selected text during their classes.

EXTRA! Students on part-time, standard and intensive courses can attend our 2 weekly Study Club classes for free! You will get extra help with difficult tasks and creative brainstorming, revise material, prepare for the next classes, etc.

Part-time course

The course is aimed at those participants who want to learn the language and at the same time have free time to get to know the area and its cultural background. Two lessons a day allow you to enjoy your vacation to the fullest.

• 10 lessons per week (7.5 hours)
• Classes: 2 lessons a day, 45 minutes each, 5 days a week
• Duration: min. 1 week

Standard course

The standard course is the perfect combination of learning a language and enjoying your free time while abroad. If you want to combine study and leisure, this course is for you. Four lessons a day guarantee adequate learning outcomes, and in the afternoon there is plenty of time for extracurricular activities.

• 20 lessons per week (15 hours)
• Classes: 4 lessons a day, 45 minutes each, 5 days a week
• Duration: min. 1 week
• Age: 18+ years for adult courses (people aged 16-17 are accepted with the consent of their parents or guardians), 12-21 for camps* (summer only)
• Course dates: all year round (ask us for more info)
• Time of day: mostly morning/afternoon courses (evening courses also possible)
• Weekends free of study

4 lessons a day are scheduled as follows: 1 lesson – grammar and general vocabulary exercise, 1 lesson – conversations, 2 lessons – reading, working with text, listening, writing.

Intensive course

With this course, your stay is focused on learning and your free time to discover new places and surroundings becomes shorter. However, 6 lessons a day guarantees you to learn effectively and progress in less time than with other courses.

• 30 lessons per week (22,5 hours)
• Classes: 6 lessons a day, 45 minutes each, 5 days a week
• Duration: min. 1 week

DELE exam preparation course

DELE (Diploma de Español Como Lengua Extranjera) is recognized by the Spanish Ministry of Education and confirms the level of mastery of the Spanish language. It takes 8 weeks, 20 lessons per week, during which students develop their speaking and writing skills and focus on understanding grammatical structures. To prepare you for the exam, teachers will show you the form and structure of it using various examples, exercises and previous exams.

• 20 lessons per week (15 hours)
• Duration: 8 weeks
• Age: 16+ years
• Course dates: 15th Feb, 29th Mar, 17th May, 20th Sep
• Exam dates: 09th Apr, 22nd May, 09th Jul, 13th Nov

DELE exam is held four times a year. DELE courses start 8 weeks before the exam date. The course price does not include the examination fee.

Standard course for academic purposes

Stand out from the crowd and increase your market value by learning important practical skills that will benefit you in the future. During the course you will acquire important skills, such as: giving presentations, taking notes, writing essays. The art of good organization of studies is the key to success.

Individual private courses

One-to-one/two course is the fastest and most intensive way to learn and expand your knowledge. The classes’ format from the very beginning is completely determined by your needs and requirements, and you focus more attention on the areas that you want to improve. It is also worth mentioning that the timetable is flexible.

  ACCOMMODATION

We offer various types of accommodation for students of Spanish language courses in Barcelona. You can choose the option that suits you best. All types of accommodation give you the chance to communicate with other people – residents or students at the language school – and thus practice the skills acquired during classes. You will be able to share your experiences and useful information by spending time with others.

STANDARD APARTMENT

Sharing one apartment with students from all over the world helps speaking in a foreign language. Our apartments are available with single and double rooms. You prepare your own meals in a fully equipped kitchen. The apartments are furnished in a style typical for the country.

HOST FAMILY

The host families in Barcelona are open, helpful and friendly. On the first day, the family will introduce you to the daily schedule: keys, meal times, use of the washing machine, etc. Host families provide bed linen, but students should bring their own towels.

RESIDENCE

The residence, which we offer in high season, has spacious single/double rooms that are bright and modern. You can also spend time with other students of the language school and prepare meals in your own fully equipped kitchen. You can use the washing machine and dryer. The residence also offers a terrace, and study, fitness and games rooms.

  ACTIVITIES PROGRAMME

Barcelona is a beautiful city, full of cultural attractions and unique architectural monuments, as well as a diverse nightlife. It has endless leisure options and countless beautiful places. You must visit numerous projects by Antoni Gaudí, such as Palau Güell, Parc Güell, Casa Battló, La Pedrera and the most famous Sagrada Familia, as well as La Rambla avenue and the Picasso Museum. Other places worth seeing are for example: Miró Museum, Camp Nou stadium, La Barceloneta beach and Figueiras. Barcelona is also a great destination for people who love shopping.

The school staff prepares an activity package that includes sightseeing, excursions, leisure and sports activities that you will have the option to join if you wish. For example you can attend Spanish evening with flamenco and tapas.
